Internet identity theft

Internet identity theft
Identity theft by definition is obtaining by fraudulent means personal information of another person and using it at the expense of the owner and to the benefit of such person who has obtained the information. There are various types of identity theft, and internet identity theft is one such type. Internet identity theft was not very common in the past as compared to the situation today. This has been attributed to the advancement of technology as is the nature of today’s world. Unlike the ordinary identity theft that involves obtaining of personal details from other people’s personal documents, internet identity theft is somewhat different. This difference extends even to the effects which are said to be extremely serious as compared to other types of identity theft. Internet identity theft can be so costly to the victim yet may take such a long time before one realizes it. It is common knowledge that once entered in the computer; personal information is normally stored mostly in hidden files in the hard drive. More often, these hidden files store private information like passwords and credit card numbers. There are two major ways in which fraudsters can get this information from the computer. They can either hack the information when it is sent without any security, or they can use some software that basically spies through your computer and retrieves such information. Experts advise that to ensure that one is safe from internet identity theft; it would be wise to ensure that the web browser of your computer is well secured. It is also good to frequently clean up your web browser and consequently wipe out all the information that may be used by fraudsters at your expense. Secondly, it is of utmost importance to ensure that your private data and information is well protected. Installation of Private IE ensures that all your internet history, internet files and any other information that is private in nature is deleted. In addition, it also ensures that the recycle bin is emptied and by so doing it becomes difficult for a fraudster to access any useful information. It is important to note that internet identity fraudsters are always hidden and this makes it hard, not only to detect them, but also to stop them. Internet identity theft and indeed any kind of theft is always done with the sole intention of committing other crimes. It is however unfortunate that once the crime is committed, a non suspecting victim will be responsible for all the criminal actions of the fraudster. It is for this reason that all measures must be taken to prevent internet identity theft.

Deregulation is cause of credit crunch

Deregulation is cause of credit crunch
People are often trying to pinpoint the cause of the economic decline that is occurring across the country. Well some will say that deregulation is the cause of the credit crunch that is upon us now. Many people are unsure what this really means, so that is what I will try to explain in some more simplistic terms that everyday people can understand. When the banks were given the ability to deregulate, people were able to get loans despite having poor credit histories and finances in a similar state. Some people were getting upwards of 100% of the financing to invest in homes. Many of these people were getting there homes with adjustable interest rates, but were finding that when the interest rates rose that they were unable to afford the payments that they needed to make. So with this happening to people, a lot of them would be forced into the position of foreclosure. With the amount of foreclosures this would make for a large increase in the number of properties that would be for sale and thus result in the properties that the lenders had invested in were not worth as much as they had loaned in the beginning. With the lack of regulations the banks and the financial institutions were free to run about and do pretty much as they pleased, thus the result that we are seeing now, an economy that has been devastated. Along with this the banks and other lenders are awaiting the government to help bail them out of the situation. Now if the government had have maintained some of the regulations, it is quite possible that the economy would not be where it is today. If they had some of the regulations that they did years ago they would not have been able to pull some of the risk taking measures that they have, and having them unable to do this would have helped to save our economy to some degree. Many people feel that deregulation is the cause of the credit crunch that the country is in now and that the government should step back in and regain some of the control that it had before the Reagan days. Now if the current government could impose some regulations without going to the extreme, it could prove to be a very beneficial thing for everyone that is involved, and quite possibly rebound the flailing economy. President Barrack Obama has a huge job ahead of him. With the new government now in place, maybe the necessary changes will now come about. We all hope that something positive can be accomplished.

Climate change effect

Climate change effect
The climate change effect may not seem so important to you at first thought, but the earth has a cycle of life and each living thing on this earth will be greatly affected by the increasing warming. Let’s just take a closer look at what could and may happen if the earth continues to heat up, even 1 degree Fahrenheit, can throw everything off in the ecosystems, weather and life as we have known it for many years. Some of these climate change effects are the most commonly thought of, but they are the least of our problems. Firstly the glacier ice bergs will begin to melt and when this happens the sea level will begin rising. If you live on the coast or an island you will be greatly effected by this. I am on the east coast of Florida, and I have family on Long Island NY. These two area’s will be gone without a doubt in my mind. There is no way to prevent it. But that’s not the worst of the problems everything around us will change. The climate change effect will change the ecosystem. Animals will begin dying or moving to cooler habitats, you will find that more and more animals become endangered species or extinct. Plants will be unable to survive and the list goes on and on. This isn’t something that they are guessing; this is what will happen if the climate continues to heat up. It’s already 1 degree higher than it was 100 years ago. That may not sound like much but it has dramatic effects on everything in nature. Can you imagine what life would be like if this was to happen? Food would become more difficult to find and difficult to grow in many area’s of the world. There would be people forced into the cooler climates where life would be a little more like normal, but you would be fighting just to squeeze your entire family into this area. Things would be messy. There are so many people all over that just don’t worry about the climate change effect, and will not worry about it until it’s too late and nothing can be done about it. Many of the climate change effects have already begun to affect us; hurricanes are coming more often and with much more strength. These intense hurricanes have greatly damaged many areas of our country. Certain areas have experienced more frequent heat waves. And let’s not forget that more and more people are developing allergies than ever before. Are you ready for what is in store for all of us?
